On the Eve of Goodbye

Set against pivotal moments - the assassination of Park Chung Hee, Korean American immigration, an artist's life in Germany, and a global pandemic - the novel unfolds in three parts. An older woman in New Jersey writes by candlelight during Hurricane Sandy; a younger artist, now a writer, addresses a dying friend; years later, the younger artist replies to the first letter, weaving past and present into a meditation on time, memory, and creation.
